The 16th IEEE International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering (CME 2022) was successfully held at the Hilton Hotel in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province from November 4 to 7, with over 100 experts and scholars attending the conference to share and discuss the state-of-the art scientific achievements. Organized by the Zhongshan Research Institute of Changchun University of Science and Technology, this conference is centered on the latest research results in the fields of optoelectronic medical instruments, brain information engineering, neurorehabilitation engineering and medicine. The conference aims to provide an academic communication platform for scholars from universities, research institutes, enterprises, and institutions around the world.

It is our great honor that Professor Mark Hallett (National Institutes of Health), Professor Dong Ming (Tianjin University), Professor Zuobin Wang (Zhongshan Research Institute of Changchun University of Science and Technology), Professor Hongen Liao (Tsinghua University), Professor Kewei Chen (Banner Alzheimer’s Institute)，Professor Jingtao Fan (Tsinghua University), Professor Ou Bai (Florida International University), Professor Michael A. Nitsche (Leibniz Research Center for Working Enviroment and Human Factors), Professor Tianyi Yan (Beijing Institute of Technology), Professor Jing Jin (East China University of Science and Technology), and Dr. Ying Su (Sanying Precision Instruments Co. Ltd.) gave fascinating academic reports on the topics of non-invasive Parkinson’s disease rehabilitation technology, brain-machine interface technology, digital adaptive optics iterative laminar imaging technology, brain cognitive mechanism analysis and application, virtual reality-based intelligent surgery, wearable devices, etc. Nearly 2,000 scholars participated in the 16th International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering (CME 2022).
